My name is Dr. Kristina Burgetova and I am the founder and principal psychologist of Willow Psychological Services Pte. Ltd. in Singapore. My work experience is primarily with adults as a consulting psychologist, clinical supervisor, and adjunct professor. I have worked as a clinician in the USA, Canada, and Singapore. My clinical interests include couple therapy and relationship issues, identity development and self‑exploration, family of origin issues, adjustment and acculturation issues, and the well‑being of high‑functioning individuals.
I use postmodern contemporary approaches to psychotherapy. In my sessions, I do not act as an expert but rather as a guide to help you gain more insight into your concerns and learn ways to manage them better. My hope is that you will gain self‑awareness and obtain tools that will ultimately help you to be your own therapist.
In addition to psychotherapy, I provide clinical supervision to trainee psychologists and serve as a Senior Lecturer at James Cook University in Singapore. I also provide psychological consultations and develop and run mental health workshops at INSEAD Business School, Singapore.
I hold a Master’s degree in Couple and Family Therapy and a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas, MN, USA. I am a licensed psychologist in the USA (MN) and in Singapore. Originally from Slovakia, I have called Singapore home since 2012.
Alongside my academic and consulting work, I maintain a small private practice with limited hours at 779 Bukit Timah Road, where I see private clients—primarily couples. I am deeply passionate about working with couples using the Gottman Method, an approach I have seen transform relationships beautifully. I am a Gottman Certified Therapist and a Gottman Level 1 and Level 2 Trainer, and I continue to integrate this evidence‑based method into my practice
